Energy Body Series

In our culture there seems to be a lot of mystery wrapped around meditation; what it is, how to do it, when to do it, why to do it. This series is designed to de-mystify this practice. One of the greatest benefits of meditation is that it gives us a gateway to our subconscious mind. These programs are designed to help you access your subconscious mind through a simple mix and match system. There are three parts to any meditation practice: Relaxation, Body of the Meditation, and Coming Home.

RELAXATION – It is always advisable to begin a meditation practice by getting yourself very comfortable, releasing all of the stress that is held in your physical body, letting go of pressures that are weighing on your mind and centering yourself within your field. With this practice you prepare your body and mind to open to the benefits of the meditation exercise.

I have for a long time worn myself out, either by working to hard or neglecting the negative feelings from my body, it was screaming for me to take care of it. A couple of weeks ago I had a turning point in my life, I understood that this couldn't go on. I have had problems with stress for so long so I thought that mediation was something that could help me to cope with it. The reason I chose chakra meditation was probably because of a documentary I had seen some time ago and it looked cool. So I downloaded Brenda Stanger's mp3. I was a little afraid that most of the mediation tapes and so on are just easy ways to make money. But I still went into it with an open mind and before I meditated the first time I convinced my mind that it would work, and so it did. It was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had, since it might be quite personal I think you should experience it yourselves. Now I do this about three times a week and I love it!

A friend introduced me to Brenda's Energy Body Revitalization CD. I was not prepared for the proufoundness of its impact on me. Being a person who appreciates the "science" behind things, I found Brenda's combination of hypnotherapeutic techniques such as descriptive visualisation, vocal technique and use of breath/relaxation a potent combination. It gives the piece credibility and structure. Moreover, her style really encourages "immersion" into the spiritual experience, and opens one up to full energetic awareness. 
 
I also felt Brenda's descriptive insights into the "issues" we hold in our energetic fields/chakras were particularly poignant, and really facillitated a deep release and healing for me. One thing I particularly liked was the focus on healing traumas to the earth at the base chakra. Wow. I had no idea how much I had stored over that issue - there is so much fear around us right now about the survival of our Mother and us as a species. So thank you for that beautiful healing, and the reminder that no matter where I walk on the earth, she is blessed and eternal and I am a part of her.
 
Needless to say, the experience with Energy Body Revitalization prompted me to seek out more of Brenda's work. I look forward to immersing myself in the experience of "Into The Pause".  I've listened to alot of guided meditations before, but this takes the proverbial cake. A long overdue addition to the enourmous body of work "guided meditations" available. Cudos!

INTO THE PAUSE

INTO THE PAUSE: First Chakra by Brenda Stanger –This is the second meditation in the Energy Body Series. It addresses the elements of grounding, a deep connection to your body and a connection to nature, which are vital components to the health and vitality of the first chakra.

Imagine a place where time stands still-all activity ceases. Imagine sitting in stillness without concern that you will miss opportunities or that people will disappear from your life. Imagine a place where you can go deep within to seek the answers to all of your questions. 

Imagine a place where knowledge is endless, where your access to this knowledge is free flowing and unencumbered. Imagine the peace this would bring to your soul. It is in the stillness of "the pause" that this is all possible.

It is in this place of peace, in "the pause" that you connect with your deepest truth and gain clarity on your life's path.  In the silence you can experience the abundance of options available to you and the ease with which you can bring these into you life.

REVIEWS

I consider myself a "newbie" at meditation; not sure if I am doing it right, but open to the experience. I listened to "Into the Pause" on a road trip (not to worry, I was the passenger). It was a beautiful, blue sky day so I leaned the seat back, got comfortable. I was deeply relaxed in the visualization. During the first pause, sitting at the base of my tree, wondering what issues might come out, the harp sounded. Suddenly my eyes flew open. We were hurtling through a tunnel towards a solid concrete wall (it actually sealed the tunnel). I thought "Oh Shit!" immediately followed by "Oh Well, there's nothing I can do except surrender because I won't be surviving this".

At that moment, we reached the wall, only to have it dissipate into mist as we passed out of the tunnel. Needless to say I was a little bit freaked, but I relaxed into the visualization as I climbed the tree looking for answers. Sitting on one of the upper most branches, safe and secure, "What our fear makes solid, turns to mist when we embrace it" was floating above me. Well, what an epiphany, intellectually I know fear keeps me from fulfilling my dreams but having it so dramatically presented has changed me. I have discovered, as I embrace those fears, they aren't as solid and scary as they appear. This is an amazing meditation.
